Bradley Bonam serves as Choirmaster and Organist here at St. Paul’s. He is an accomplished musician with a multifaceted career as an organist, pianist, choral director, educator, and recitalist. Music has played an integral part of his life.
A native of Eastern Ohio, he began studying piano privately at age seven and playing regularly for church at thirteen. Bradley went on to earn a degree in organ from Dana School of Music at Youngstown State University. While in college, he also studied choral music, conducting, vocal music, and music education. He was involved in choral ensembles at Dana as a section leader and accompanist.
Over the years, he has served in full and part-time capacities as a church organist, choir director, and private teacher. In church positions, he has had the task of overseeing multiple music and instrumental ensembles. He had also developed a fine arts music series that attracted national and international organists providing recitals, workshops, and hymn festivals in order to broaden and diversify the music outreach of the church and greater community.
Bradley is also a long time member of the American Guild of Organists having also passed music certifications offered through the guild. He has served terms on the executive board and has also held positions as Secretary and Sub Dean of his chapter.
